Porth Or is a beautiful beach on the Lleyn peninsula in north Wales. A National Trust property, it’s also called Whistling Sands because of the unique noise the dry sand makes when you walk on it. It has particularly beautiful rocks of all colours and textures. On a sunny summer’s day it will be full of people but wait for the evening and you’ll have it all to yourself.
These shots, taken one August, were the result of some overnight wild camping on the headlands above the beach, letting me get both sunset and sunrise.
