Poppies are glorious when they appear but they have to be searched out and discovered. They're not in the same place each year and they're hard to find. I've seen wonderful pictures of fields full of poppies but not near me. So my wife has been under instruction to look out for them and let me know. I happened to be out in one spot where I had found a small display when she rang me and told me of others. A small area, by the road in front of houses, but very dense and with a variety of types and colours. I was delighted.
These are gorgeous - they are like bright butterflies borne on the wind!
